The California Highway Patrol closed Temescal Canyon Road on Friday because of severe flooding north of Lake Street. TCR was closed from Horsethief Canyon Road to Hostettler Road and remained closed Saturday.

When will Tamecal canyon South of Horsethief in Corona reopen?
Odessa — It opened right on schedule as promised by the city of Lake Elsinore — Friday, March 10. Of course on Saturday, March 11, throngs of people descended on Lake Street to observe and photograph the Walker Canyon poppy fields. The vehicles and the haphazard manner in which they were parked, caused massive traffic jams for Horsethief Canyon Ranch residents who, with the bridge repaired, still didn’t have easy access to the I-15 from Lake Street.

Hi, Jay. Good news! The bridge repairs will be finalized this week and the road is due to be opened by the end of day, Friday, March 10.
